Hi, I’m Chance. I am a Dancer, Musician, and Teacher offering Swing Dance Lessons, Live Music, Workshops, and Performances in Western Massachusetts.

Background
I grew up in a small town in Southern California and went to college in San Diego with a major in History. In the late 1990s I fell in love with Swing Dancing, and, unbeknownst to me, that was the beginning of a long career in music and dance.
I spent nearly two decades as a staple in New Orleans’ thriving music and dance scene before moving to Western Massachusetts with my family.
I’ve won national and international Swing Dance competitions, choreographed and starred in award-winning stage productions, been a featured dancer and musician on television shows and in movies, and have performed on stages and in venues around the world.
I love to spread the joy and connection of social dance. In a world where more and more people feel alone, music and dance offer to bring people together.

Where I teach
I teach Private Lessons at my home studio in Hatfield, MA.
Swing Dances & Workshops are held at Northampton Center for the Arts in Northampton, MA. There is free parking available. Join us some Saturdays 10am-12pm for Swing Dance Workshops! Next Dance will be Thursday August 20, 6:30-9:30pm. Next Workshop will be Saturday September 19, 2026.

Private Lessons
$75 per hour
$200 for three
Private Lessons are a great way to get the basics under your belt.
Dance Workshops
$20 in advance
$25 at the door
This workshop is open to people of all ages and skill levels. We will be covering the fundamentals of Swing Dance, including 6&8Count Swing, Connection Technique, and All the Turns! (Seriously. All of them.)
Social Dance
$10 in advance
$15 at the door
If you’d like music for a restaurant, bar, or music venue, I can help.
